I have been buying things online and I’m fortunate to have more good than bad experiences so far. Sometimes when I buy things from stores, I do get good service but I just dislike finding a car park in the mall. These days, when you end up with a defective product, you can either ask for an exchange or some people may engage a Defective Product Attorney if the company is not happy to forward an exchange. Whatever it is, it it necessary for every customer to know his or her rights when they make a purchase.

How thankful we were with a GPS for without it, we won’t be able to move around in quick timing!

My cousin lives in the bush and it’s just so hard to find her house each time. I hope that she will look into getting address plaques as she hasn’t had at her gate and we often missed her house, even though we have a GPS! The GPS doesn’t recognize bush homes so well and that’s why it does help when the signs are clear. Living in a bush is nice but when your friends can’t find your place, it can be rather embarassing!

After another busy long week, I’m really glad that the weekends is here again. This weekend, we won’t be beach hopping as we are hosting an open house for our relatives.

I just heard about the biggest earthquake that hit Japan and it was sad to see those images of houses and cars swept away by the tsunami. I believe it must be chaotic with trains not in operation especially when it’s peak hour. When I was visiting my hubby in the hospital last month, I saw many hospital personnel in nursing scrubs and they were always willing to lend a helping hand to the patients. One of them used to work in Japan so she was talking about how dependent she was on the public transport in Japan. I just hope that the death count will not rise so much and that the tsunami will subside soon!

The economy is picking up and more people will be out there interviewing for their dream job soon. As the new year begins, many people are beamed with hopes and aspirations to expect a better year in 2010.

My cousin who is on a job search
is already excited with the economy pick up. She’s been out of job for more than a year and during this time, she’s been keeping herself occupied with activities and picking up new skills for her personal development. As much as it isn’t a good thing to lose a job, it gives many people the opportunity to treasure and value what they have and not take things for granted.

So moving forward, there’ll be better days ahead for many people and it is looking optimistic!

I’ve been in Japan the last ten days and I have noticed that people are busy shopping and buying gifts for the coming festive season. Apart from gift baskets, flowers, jewelry and beauty products, the Japanese love to buy local food products as gifts for their families and friends. Somehow, I believe that their culture is a giving one and they are really into gifts.

If you are not that sort who believe in gifts, you may be missing the joy of giving. You may have heard this famous phrase that it is more blessed to give than to receive. May you too experience the joy of giving this Christmas season. Giving is not just about gifts but it means giving of your heart, your time and your best.

It amazes me that time has passed so fast and we are now in the month of May! In a month’s time, we are at the half year mark and it’s another time to evaluate how the half year has fared. I hope to start planning for a vacation in the last quart of the year – it’s something I look forward to every year. I’m that firm believer that all work and no play makes Jack a really dull boy – and Jill too!

I used to pop by the bookstores and spend hours just to find the right tutorials and guides and often times, the book stores do not have specialized books of the topics of my interest. Then a few internet marketing friends recommended that I should check out article directories for resources and information and from then on, my time was spent mostly in front of the computer instead of the bookstore.

Article directory websites are great for finding information and resources, even how to’s and tutorials on niche topics. You can be searching for tutorials or articles or learn how to create structure or find arts and entertainment articles, automotive topics or home improvement help, you will find that you can save alot of time from looking in the web than traditional book stores or even the library. For a start, check out this new article directory website by clicking on the link above.

This piece of news is hitting the media around the globe – one of the richest celeb divorces – yes, you may have guessed it – it’s the divorce settlement of Paul McCartney and ex wife, Heather Mills. But the 50 mil is nothing compared to basketball legend Michael Jordan and the box-office’s most popular producer, Steven Spielberg and their exes. I suppose it’s hard for these exes to live without these huge money settlements since they have been so used to that glam and luxurious living. In case you are keen, here are some more rich celeb divorce stats which leave you in the know of some wealthy divorcees around:

Harrison Ford and Melissa Mathison (estimated $85 million, in 2004); Kevin Costner and Cindy Silva ($80 million, in 1994); McCartney and Mills; Titanic director James Cameron and actress Linda Hamilton (also $50 million, in 1999); Michael Douglas and first wife Diandra ($45 million, in 1998); Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall ($15 to $25 million); and Lionel Richie and his second wife, Diane ($20 million, in 2004). I wonder what do these divorcees do with their money.. maybe they had invested in one of those Branson homes for sale for their vacation break

The mood is intense in the malls – glittering Christmas trees, coloured lights, little sculptures of reindeers, santa claus, snowman and candy canes are found everywhere, from wrapping papers to gift items. The best thing during Christmas is to celebrate the occasion with family and friends, spreading glad tidings and sharing good cheer. Sure enough, the turkey and honey baked ham are not big deals but dining and drinking are just the things that make the occasion a little more special. So sit back, relax and don’t overwork yourselves with the festive preparation this Christmas!
