My husband loves to buy electronic stuff and somehow, he never gets too tired with buying another set of laptop speakers for his three laptops. It seems hard to believe but there are five computers – mini and big in our little home office and some of our friends find it so amusing! It’s hard to understand why we need so many but I suppose it’s accumulated over the years. I’m not so if it’s very eco friendly to do that but I think we can’t have another one at home!

I was looking around some of the beautiful villas in the bunya mountains and those metal buildings will impressive! I wish we can own one of these and wake up to a lovely valley or mountainous view everyday. But I don’t think I fancy the cold in winter. In fact, I would prefer to be in a warmer place where I can hop into the beaches when the sun is out!

Now that I’m back, I think I need to put myself on a simple diet and perhaps find a diet pill that works. We have been eating so much during the trip that I need to go on a meat free diet for a while! I think too much beef and lamb is not good for my cholesterol levels so I really need to go easy on that. But now, I’m going for a good bounce on the rebounder and that would be a good way to start the day!

I am thinking of starting tennis again but not sure if I will cope well with the cold. I went shopping for tennis shorts the other day while my friend was looking for equestrian clothing for her horse riding classes. Once upon a time, I thought I would like to learn horse riding but I never got round to doing it. Hopefully I can visit a farm and try out horse riding again when the weather warms up again. I think my son would be glad to hop on a horse since he has never done that.

Few days ago, hubby and I visited our favourite Max Brenner chocolate cafe at Broadbeach. We were impressed with the lively and funky interiors of the cafe and was even more taken by the chocolate making machine in the store. I had seen people using metal hose linking to beer taps but I haven’t seen chocolate pipes leading to drinking chocolate – I thought that was the coolest thing to do! As usual, the italian thick chocolate didn’t fail and it did make my day!

I must have gotten myself at a bad angle cos after folding in the flour into the wet mixture, I found that my arm was feeling cramped. The next thing I knew, my upper arm was hurting like crazy. I mean, I used to be so fit and active, carrying weights and all. Though I don’t take testoripped but I might have done that if I was a guy! So having a cramped arm was just miserable. I couldn’t do so many things and had to seek treatment from my chiropractor. He finally got it fixed and now I need to be careful not to hurt it again. I just have to admit that age is really catching up with me!

Since I have so little time to do things likes watching tv, I would prefer hubby to screen through some tv reviews so that I won’t spend my time on shows that are a waste of time. My son isn’t allowed tv on the weekdays and he can only watch some documentaries when daddy put the tv on. Other than that, it’s just tv-free on the weekdays. I think this is good for the kids so that they won’t spend more time on tv than on other important things.

Growing up, it’s hard to resist the temptations to get a new wardrobe, buy new shoes and bags each time. But as I move into later years, the importance of savings grew. I was asked by friends to buy silver coins and invest in gold though I must say that it is an educational process for me. Property investment is one aspect that is popular among my friends but it doesn’t makes sense when the ROI isn’t attractive.

I think at the end of the day, it’s still good to save some money for emergencies and rainy days.

When it comes to moving in to our own place ,there are so many things I hope to do. Some friends point me to check out outdoor lighting from lightingtheweb.com as most of the houses here will have a decent patio size. It’s nice to sit out there during those cooler summer evenings and makes it a delight to entertain guests. I hope to find a house near my son’s school so that we don’t have to travel far everyday. He’s been settling down quite well and I’m glad that things are working out for us.

My husband has been busy with business development and wire management research as I busy myself with cooking and experimenting with different recipes. I’m looking forward to school holidays where I can chill out and do more outdoor things with my son. I would like to go to the park, cycle and have a game of tennis! HOpefully the weather is nice enough and doesn’t get too cold for us to do the things we like. That reminds me that I should start making booking for my accommodation!
