One of the ways to bond with your children is to spend quality time with them. Sometimes, we parents get too busy that we tend to allow the tv or computer to become our babysitter.

I’ve been reading some parenting books by Focus on the Family and have gathered some great insights from the various teachings about being a better parent. Sometimes all our kids want is that we stop what we are doing and listen to them with our eyes. Listening with our eyes mean dedicated attention and not casting your eyes on your newspapers or staring at your PC. Sometimes, you may like to put aside your interests and spend your weekends playing PS3 with them or take them out for a trip to the ice cream store or the movies.

Because children grow so fast, we need to put in efforts to build memories before we realize how time passes us by. So if you haven’t been spending quality time with your children or family, it’s time to plan a trip to the park or have a picnic by the beach sometime. Life matters more than just thinking about our own interests and passions. Show your children all the love you can while you can.
