With the advancement of technology, even parenting styles have to change according to times. At five year old, children are given computer lessons in school and their learning curves are more advanced than we are when we were kids.

I could recall a kid asking his mom for a Wii or XBox for his birthday present. It’s amazing that these kids are so adept in these things. I have no idea even how to operate any of these high tech games!

Personally, I believe that we as parents need to create boundaries for our children when it comes to the online media. We can’t stop the advancement of technology but we can guide our children in the process. Stiffling them may not be a good idea but letting them go loose with no boundaries is not wise either. So parents, be an active one and watch what your kids are learning.
