We had came back from a trade show and hubby had a bag full of souvenirs consisting of logo pens, folders, stationery, memo pads, mouse pads, cap, t-shirt…etc. These days, all the trade show tend to use promotional items to advertise and market their brand name as well as to draw the crowd to their booth. I hardly make my way to trade shows unless it is something of my interest since the crowd can be unexpectedly big and it can make me feel somewhat castrophobic. But if you that sort who likes freebies and demos, trade shows are great places to draw ideas and get new references and insights.
